I had the triple room which was impeccably clean with a lovely view of the harbour. Location: the hotel was close to the V & A waterfront which has shopping & many restaurants to choose from, and the beautiful Cape Grace on the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town;)))
The bed in my room was very hard.

The views
Both doo9r lock and shower needed fixing. Wasted time and stress. Showerhead was fixed but positioned so badly that I had to carry in a chair and move the whole showerhead. It was 01h00 in the morning and I did not want to wait for staff and dress again!

The room was huge and brand-new, with a terrace and balcony I needed. the location of the hotel was central, really close to the waterfront area with shops and the Alfred waterfront.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, up there with the very best. The staff are superb from the garage attendents, through room service, reception, door attendents and drivers. Whoever is responsible for selecting and training the staff should get a medal.

The ambience of the hotel made one feel that one was enveloped in the lap of luxury. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and willingly answered any questions with alacrity. The decor in the hotel was quietly understated elegance. Our room was the ultimate experience; breakfast was a highly pleasurable recollection. We came away with a handful of wonderful memories which will stay with us for a long time. We understood why the Cape Grace was voted the best hotel In Africa, it deserves this accolade.

I had the most wonderful stay. The staff could not have been more helpful. One night I forgot my handbag in the library at the hotel and the Concierge returned it to my room in less than5 minutes. The Signal restaurant has the most wonderful food and great service.

Beautiful rooms with thoughtful touches for special occasions, professional and friendly staff, and a great location near major attractions and vineyards. Efficient service and a delicious breakfast. The hotel's handling of the water crisis commendable, with reminders and hand sanitizer in all bathrooms. a high level of comfort and attention to detail, with the option of a courtesy limo for local journeys.

I liked the fact tht there was a car avaiable to us within 20 km of the hotel to take us to different locations. You had to book in advance but it was generally available.
I did not like the location. It was off the beaten track and while it was at the waterfront, you had several blocks to walk to reach any resstaurants. It was not safe at night to walk to the restaurants outside of the hotel.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
